Fun Photos 2.0 More tidlebits

It’s been a while since I last posted about Fun Photos 2.0, so I’d like to start today by talking a bit about our new non-destructive photo editor. It’s taking a lot longer than we anticipated and right now it’s almost been completely re-written. In fact huge chunks of the program were pulled out and tossed into a virtual garbage can, while we custom designed and developed new slicker, more flexible and faster parts.

Non Destructive Opinion

When we first launched Funtastic Photos we received a rather interesting comment on one web site. The comment read as follows.

That’s NOT non destructive editing. That’s just a revert from saved (or original prior to editing). I wish all these companies would stop using this silly marketing phrase. Non destructive editing is only going to come about in a Raw converter which builds virgin pixels from data that’s not altered itself. Any pixel editing is destructive (due to rounding errors).
