WHATS NEW IN 1.0.1
With version 1.0.1 of HDRtist Pro we’ve made over 50 changes, which includes adding features that customers have been asking for, such as the ability to specify bit depth and compression on export. HDRtist Pro now performs better when used on Macs without hardware acceleration, and we’ve fixed a bunch of small bugs which improve the reliability and stability of the overall application. How to get full resolution images from Aperture into HDRtist Pro

Saturday, April 23rd, 2011

Aperture is the class leading Image organizing program for the Mac. While for the most part it’s incredibly intuitive, there’s one thing that could be done better and that’s getting images from it and into HDRtist Pro. Aperture seems to palm off a low resolution JPEG image when trying to get images from Aperture into HDRtist Pro. You can of course, set up HDRtist Pro as the External Editor in Aperture, but this only works for a single image. A solution that’s been given to us by a customer follows. This solution works for both HDRtist & HDRtist Pro.

When I’d like to use images from Aperture in HDRtist, I have to export the images the old fashioned way: Shift+Cmd+E / Shift+Cmd+S. The I can drag the exported images from their folder into HDRtist.

What RAW formats do we support?

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

A commonly asked question involves people wanting to know if they can use the RAW images from their cameras with our software.

We don’t do the RAW conversion ourself, Apple does it for us. So in all honesty, I don’t know. I do know how to find out however. In the Apple support sections, they list what RAW images are compatible with what version of the OS you’re using. I’ve grouped them together below to make it easier.

Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3825

Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1475

As for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger…. I cannot find one nice complete list, instead it seems like every update adds a little more.

HDRtist Pro – Easier & Flexible HDR software coming your way.

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

While we’re still working hard on Fun Photo 2.0 we’ve also been working hard on a Professional version of our ever popular HDRtist. For a vast majority of people, HDRtist has been their first step into the world of HDR, providing people with an easy way to get great results. However there’s a huge gap, if you want more than HDRtist. HDR software with more control and flexibility can cost as much as $150!

Enter HDRtist Pro, which aims to provide you with more control, features and flexibility than HDRtist, wrapped up in an Ohanaware easy to use interface, all without the heft of a huge price sticker.
