Last week we released an update to HDRtist Pro. Version 1.0.6 of HDRtist Pro is our best ever to date, with many changes. If you purchased HDRtist Pro through the Mac App Store, please open the Mac App Store application and click on the “Updates” section to download the latest version. If you purchased elsewhere, you’ll need to download HDRtist Pro from our website.

Today we released Fun Greetings 1.0.

Fun Greetings is a card printing program, where your photos are the star (pun intended). These kind of cards are often referred to as Photo Greetings Cards, and unlike store bought cards, the emphasis of these Photo Greetings Cards is photos of your family, kids, pets and other photos you may have taken. Fun Greetings enables you to print your own Photo Greetings Cards right at home on your Mac and printer.

Apart from working on our Software and taking photos, we also try to keep up with new photo graphic techniques and software. Today I came across an app that specializes in getting a particular style. As I looked through the samples, I realized that similar results could be accomplished with Funtastic Photos. So in a couple of minutes I created a 1-Click Style to replicate that effect.
I adjusted several effects, adding a white vignette and then dragging the effect to the top. I reduced the contrast and boosted the brightness using the Contrast & Brightness affect. Then I used the Gamma filter (new in Fun Photos 1.0.7) to adjust the mid tones and emphasize on the Red channel. It was that simple.
