Fun Photos 2.0 More tidlebits
It’s been a while since I last posted about Fun Photos 2.0, so I’d like to start today by talking a bit about our new non-destructive photo editor. It’s taking a lot longer than we anticipated and right now it’s almost been completely re-written. In fact huge chunks of the program were pulled out and tossed into a virtual garbage can, while we custom designed and developed new slicker, more flexible and faster parts.
One of the parts that people ask about the most is the print engine. A great deal of people have written to us letting us know what they’d like from a print engine, and so far our new engine is pretty much dead on. We tossed out the old engine and sat down and designed a new flexible engine, this engine is almost like a page layout application in it’s self. The layouts can easily be customized as saved either as files, or as new templates.
This will allow those who wish to create their very own unique layouts, with text, shapes and clipart, but it’ll allow people to share their amazing templates with other Fun Photos users. You’ll also be able to save your layout, so that you can open it later and print it out, or modify it.
We’re still working hard on completing Fun Photos 2.0, we’re hoping to have a test version available by the end of July.

AWESOME! I still hope you are writing it so that it can be an external editor for Aperture 3!!!
