Live Photo Editing, are you enjoying it?
One of the hardest things we have to do, is to try to explain some of the unsung or greater features of our software. Today I just wanna take a moment and talk about a feature in Fun Photos.
Technically we call this feature Non-destructive editing, it basically means that when you edit a photo in Funtastic Photos your original photo is never altered. This isn’t like the iPhoto “Revert to Original” feature where it takes a copy of your original photo. With the system we’ve employed we re-render the effects on top of your photo, we also developed our own file format so that we can store your original photo all nice and comfy, and all the effects.
This system works fantastically, and is impressive, add a bunch of effects to a photo, save it and then re-open that saved file and you can adjust those effects or remove them. This is phenomenal! The trouble is, we don’t know how to explain this to people. After a lot of thought we coined the term, “Live Photo Editing” ( before we had non-destructive, non-permanent & Reversible Editing ). We made a video in an attempt to demonstrate how powerful this feature is.
