For a while we’ve been very quiet, I’d love to say that we’ve surfing the waves during the day and sipping mai-tais at night… But, that’d be telling a porkie pie… Haven’t surfed for a long time, and no mai-tais are in sight.

For the past 12 months we’ve been working hard at Fun Photos 2.0!
We started by doing an incredible amount of research, we came up with our own ideas on what would be exciting new features for photographers, and then we spent a lot of time talking our existing customers and potential customers. It’s been a long, but rewarding process for us.

6 months ago, we started coding again, woot!
In the beginning we basically ripped out the entire engine and replaced it with newer faster code! Nearly all the effect modules are 100% new code. We’ve been adding a bunch of great effects, that’ll help you fix and enhance your photos. The text engine’s had an overhaul too and a bunch more features. The photo editor’s interface has had a smart redesign and I think you’ll gonna love it’s superb new look!

We’ve built a new framework for the sharing modules and are revising their interfaces, we’ve even got more sharing sites lined up!

The print system, was great in Fun Photos 1.0, with 2.0 we started again and this time we designed and developed a whole new, faster, slicker and far more flexible system. The interface still needs more work… We’re getting there…

There’s over 200 items on the change list and we’ve plowed through 50% of them already (we’ve tackled most of the big jobs first)…

All in all, when Fun Photos 2.0 ships, you’ll see a brand spanking state of the art product, with more power, flexibility than ever before, while still wrapped up in that Oh-so easy to use interface and outstanding value for money price!

Between now and the release date, we’ll be slipping you tidbits of information and sneak previews… So don’t go away!
