Olympus E-P1 Grainy Black & White
For some time yours truly has been looking for a new smallish digital camera. I’ve been toying with various models and then to my surprise Olympus produces a neat little camera the EP-1. It’s a handsome camera, very retro style and quite minimalistic. I’m loving everything I’m reading about it, I’m warming up my credit card and getting ready to place a pre order… Except for 2 issues. #1, I’m in the UK at the moment and the camera is $300 (US) more expensive, even after factoring out tax! #2, there’s no built-in flash and the optional extra is $200 (US), and way too big! (although I’ve since found that if you buy the flash before Sep. 2009 it’s half price).
As I love having fun with my photos, I was excited to see a bunch of in camera effects, once of them being the “Grainy B&W”… Which looks Fantastic (see the DP Review Sample Images for more)

I set about trying to recreate this in Funtastic Photos, here’s what I got.

As for purchasing the E-P1, we’ll see. I really want to love this camera… Hopefully it’ll drop in price and a third party manufacture will make a smaller flash for a sensible price. I’ve posted my tweakings as a 1-Click Style, which you can download and add it to your 1-Click Styles. Have Fun. [Click Here To Download The 1-Click Style]
