Due to some Domain Name changes our site has been in and out of service for the past couple of hours, everything should be back to normal now. This affected Ohanaware.com MacPhotoEditor.com, FuntasticPhotosOnline.com and Ohana Games. last but not least it prevent the built-in feedback system in Funtastic Photos from working correctly and because iWatermark uses this, that too fell over.
I have been working closely with a customer to isolate his ‘Failure To Launch’ issue, we have narrowed it down to the Thumbnail Generator crashing when it tries to create a thumbnail for a certain movie he has on his computer. While the problem is that file, it raises the question, why is the Thumbnail Generator even considering opening a movie file? Well the simple answer is, by design. In my tests I found that it just didn’t create a thumbnail for anything other than image files, so I based other code around this code failing. I will change it so that now it check to see if its an image file before trying to create a thumbnail.
Today I posted some new photos on Flickr as examples of what can be done with Funtastic Photos, I added the ‘How To Information’ if you’re interested.
Wahoo, I finally completed the transition of the default WordPress theme into the Ohanaware theme. Now the Funtastic Photos blog looks consistent with the rest of the web site.
